Memories | Maryville Family Photography

Before I start this post, I will say, ALL my client files are safe and sound:)Yesterday the hard drive to my macbook pro crashed, and Apple was unable to retrieve any files for me. Thank God (literally) that I backup my client files about three different ways, so they were safe. But, I can’t say the same for my own personal pictures from the past several months. Plus, with the new hard drive, I have had to install all new software, all my presets, etc. So, please bear with me as I try to re-orgranize as I may be a little slow to respond to emails, etc. the next few days. And please, even if you’re not a “photographer”, if you even take snapshots of your family and children, back them up somewhere. Those memories of my daughter are forever gone now. And for goodness sakes, if you use a different photographer (especially for weddings!!) make SURE they backup their images. I have a fast, expensive, less than a year old macbook pro, and it happened to me. You do not want your most treasured memories to be forever lost because you didn’t take the steps to back them up. I may do a blog post in the next few weeks or so listing different options to back your images up, but in the meantime, it’s back to work:)
